Learn it Friday
and Saturday. Own it Sunday.

Throughout Friday and Saturday, dancers will learn the same combinations they will perform during Sunday’s auditions. This gives dancers time to understand the choreography, apply faculty feedback, and enter audition day ready to focus on performance.

Audition Day

Begin the day at the barre with dedicated time to warm up, prepare your body, and get into the right headspace. Traditional ballet attire is not required. Layers are encouraged, as there will not be time for complete wardrobe changes between auditions.

Demonstrate foundational technique, alignment, control, musicality, and movement quality. Wear fitted movement attire that allows your technique to be seen.

Showcase classic dance technique and progressions, along with pom and college dance-team skills. This audition will also include 4WARD, your individual 32-count showcase.

Prepare Your 4WARD

Perform a hip-hop game day combination designed to showcase your musicality, style, overall presence, and ability to perform and connect with a crowd.

Perform a commercial jazz combination focused on musicality, dynamics, confidence, and individual style. Bring multiple shoe options.

Demonstrate movement quality, musicality, control, and versatility through a contemporary combination. Dress for choreography that may include floorwork.

Showcase storytelling, character, musicality, and performance through a theatre jazz combination. Character heels can be worn.
